Obituary of Charles Krosky

Charles “Charlie” Frederick Krosky of Sandy Hook was a beloved grandfather, father and husband during his 84 beautiful years of life. He passed away at home the morning of March 1st with his wife and children at his side.

Charlie had a strong and quiet faith and a wonderful sense of humor even in his last moments. Every person who met Charlie loved his easy going and laid-back personality. He was an avid fisherman, Braves fan and loved many spring and fall trips with his wife, children, and grandchildren in Ogunquit, Maine.

Charlie was born on April 28, 1937 at Bridgeport Hospital to George Anthony Krosky of Bridgeport and Eunice (Degroot) Krosky McPherson of Middletown, NY. After graduating from Harding High School in 1955, Charlie went on to work in manufacturing for Sikorsky Aviation Company and later United Technologies in Stratford until May 1999, when he retired after 44 years. Charlie served in the US Army 4th Infantry Division, 2nd Battle Group, 39th Infantry, Combat Support Company A from 1960-1962. He continued to serve in the Army Reserve until 1966.

Charlie married Linda Passaro Krosky on September 7, 1963. They raised their son and daughter in Trumbull and spent 58 loving years together.

Charlie and Linda are members of Stepney Baptist Church, Monroe where they served together at the Salt & Light Food Pantry for many years.

Charlie is survived by his wife Linda and their children; Eric Krosky of Westford, MA and his wife Lisa; Jeanine Hutchins of Trumbull and her husband Rick, along with his beloved grandchildren; Cameron, Emma, Maxwell, and Samuel. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and Joseph.

The Memorial Service will be held at Stepney Baptist Church, 423 Main Street, Monroe, CT on April 2, 2022 at 12:00 pm.
